Kathleen
Davis has more than 20 years of experience in cable television, including
an extensive background in government relations, regulatory compliance
and franchising. She was Vice President - Government Relations at Carolina
BroadBand, where she was responsible for franchise strategy, development
and negotiations.
Previously,
Ms. Davis served as Director of Business Development at Nashoba Cable
in Westford, Massachusetts. She managed relations with franchised municipalities
in areas including license terms, compliance, programming, pricing and
other issues. She designed, launched and marketed a pay-per-view (PPV)
service that received national industry recognition and achieved buy-rates
among the highest in the country.
Prior to
joining the staff of Nashoba Cable, Ms. Davis directed the company's
successful franchise bidding campaign under contract with Geneva Communications,
a consulting firm she established in 1981. As president of Geneva Communications,
she directed cable television franchising campaigns for client companies
in more than 50 local franchising jurisdictions, winning the majority
of these license awards bidding against major, established multiple-system
operators (MSOs) and prominent media companies.
Ms. Davis
previously worked in national promotion for WGBH-TV Boston and in public
affairs for Warner Cable. She holds a BS in Journalism from Boston University.
