William A. Schuler
Chief Executive OfficerBill Schuler is a seasoned 27-year cable television entrepreneur and senior executive. He has extensive start-up, operations, sales, marketing and network construction experience in ownership and management positions. His career includes franchising, financing, constructing, and operating cable television systems in California, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and South Carolina. Mr. Schuler has started, turned around and built telecommunications businesses.
During his career, Mr. Schuler has demonstrated his skills as a successful, multi-year P & L manager who balances the ability to recognize market opportunities and formulate strategy, with drill down execution skills to achieve on-time, on-budget superior performance. He has more than fifteen years of operating experience managing accounting and finance, budgeting and banking/investor relations. Mr. Schuler has structured, built and incented high performance teams of employees. His experience also includes evaluating business plans for investment, mergers, acquisitions, sales/divestiture and a focus on superior EBIDTA performance.Mr. Schuler's career history includes four years of entrepreneurial business development and consulting with a long-standing relationship with M/C Venture Partners; Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Carolina BroadBand (Charlotte, NC) where he successfully raised over $500 million in private equity from ten blue-chip telecom-savvy private equity firms, including M/C Venture Partners, Bank of America Capital Partners, JPMorgan Partners, Spectrum Equity, Wachovia Capital Partners (formerly First Union Capital Partners), Providence Equity Partners, HarbourVest Partners, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Nautic Partners (formerly Navis Partners) and JH Whitney & Co., for a startup broadband service provider in the Carolinas; a founding general partnership in a startup opportunity with Nashoba Communications (dba Nashoba Cable, Westford, MA); a partnership in a turn-around situation at Global Cable TV (Lancaster, NY); and serving as Director of Marketing at Lenfest Cable Group (Abington, PA). He has a bachelor's degree in communications from Temple University.
